1/ BUY BANNED BOOKS

I spent a delightful afternoon buying banned books to add to my collection of banned books: Lord of the Rings; Harry Potter, Black Beauty:a horse; WhereThe Wild Things Are(WTAF). 5 Dr. Seus books; Call of the Wild, Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Diary of Anne Frank,
Malana.

I bought Fahrenheit 451 (ironic that it's banned)

The Giver, 3 books by Orwell, Ulysses (James Joyce) Of Mice and Men, A Brave New World (Aldous Huxley), The Chronicles of Narnia.

@CherylBlueWave Why do they have to ban books in a free Society?🤔 Let people choose what interests them! At the most ban should be only for children till they grow and reach adult hood!😊👍

@SKV

I might need @TonyStark to help answer your question.

The idea of freedom for all has, at times, been illusory.

I believe that freedom of speech applies to books.

From my perspective, freedom of speech applies equally, even for those with whom I disagree.

Extending that to books, they should be readily available, whether or not it's something I want in my house.

From all of those books, I can choose for myself and my children what to read.

Some people don't agree and feel the need to impose their choices on others.

Many of them also believe scientists have lied to us, and the world is flat - sadly true.

Truthfully, the books on the banned list that are age appropriate and subject appropriate, for my kids, they've read.

I hope my reply is helpful.

I know your question was helpful to me.

@CherylBlueWave @SKV Agreed. There are books I’m not a fan of, but you don’t see me attempting to ban them. I’m not a fan of the idea we should ban a bible in retribution or anything like that, either. Abandoning our principles to prove a bad point doesn’t seem like smart behavior to me.

@TonyStark @SKV

Yeah, there are some I'm not a fan of either.

I just smile and say,
" Now isn't that precious."

You have to imagine the saccharine-sweet southern accent, because I can't pull it off.

@AlliFlowers @TonyStark @SKV

I love your sunflowers.

Glowing from the summer sun, sunflowers daisies are such happy flowers.
