@maccruiskeen I had a lengthy discussion with someone on a forum once about that. He felt that as someone of Arab descent, he was a Semite. I asked then if anti-Semites disliked him. It was…interesting. @marcelias
@AlliFlowers @marcelias yeah, ‘semite’ is a race term for middle eastern descent, so we say an antisemite doesn’t like Jews because non-Jews considered Jews racially different. Now we say not. I’m old enough to have lived through the transition.
