Silo Spoiler Alert
OK, this is only for those who have finished the first season of Silo (yes, it has been renewed, but that's largely contingent on the writers/actors strike between resolved amicably).
Questions:
1) Did the sheriff + wife die? It seems that their bodies are not outside the silo.
2) I'm guessing the paradise is projected into the helmets of people who go outside to clean.
3) What's the deal with the tape? Is it purposefully faulty?
@Badger_AF yes, the bodies are there, but Juliette can't see them because of the projection in the helmet. Outside is a barren wasteland. The tape is faulty on purpose so those who go outside to clean won't make it over the top of the hill. Walker figured out the tape in mechanical was better, and switched it out for Juliette.
@Sconniegirl82 So is the projection just to make their last moments more bearable?
@Badger_AF I think it's so they will be compelled to clean. They want everyone inside the silo to see outside is green and beautiful.
@Sconniegirl82 This. Everyone who goes outside sees that lush landscape and they scrub so that those on the inside will see it as well. But they can’t, cause it’s not real. @Badger_AF
@AlliFlowers @Sconniegirl82 I think I would start pantomiming how beautiful it was; or at a minimum, an interpretive dance.
