@JonKramer It’s the poem. First they came for the trade unionists. We cannot allow it to begin this time.We are all Other.
@JonKramer No. We continue to put down violence and insurrection.
@AlliFlowers I don't know about that. Would pacifism have worked in 1930 Germany?? I don't think so.
@JonKramer They didn’t understand what was coming then. We do, today.
@AlliFlowers , and knowing that, you still say no to picking up arms?
@JonKramer Only for protection, not as an aggressor.
@AlliFlowers , sounds good in theory, to stay on the moral high ground. I think in practice, the victor will write the history books, and the goal is to win.
@JonKramer Can’t argue with that. I’m just hoping it can all be done peacefully.
@AlliFlowers I posted some holocaust survivors comparing 1930 Germany with the USA today a week or so ago. I think your hope is admirable, but unrealistic. We need Stonewall (1969) and Watts (1965, and 1992) to foster change.
@JonKramer As a Jew, I spent my entire life wondering how Germany got to that point. Now I know. But the ghetto uprisings didn’t work either.
@AlliFlowers , those uprisings had one in 50 armed. Maybe.
@AlliFlowers , I know.... but when do we pick up arms and go to war??? Just talking isn't doing anything. that tree of liberty needs feeding.
