@GottaLaff My first diagnosis was at age 40. My baseline mammogram was at 35. I happen to really really disagree with the older requirements for baseline mammograms. I would be dead.
@DebR @GottaLaff@mastodon.social Fact is, without regular self-check you can be in trouble. Self-check should start at puberty. I had an aggressive tumor that appeared between mammograms. Stage 4. I’d be dead if not for self-check.
@AlliFlowers @GottaLaff I had breast cancer 3 times before my mastectomy and none of those tumors were detectable by touch. Believe me, they bruised me trying to feel them after they were found via mammograms.
