Looks like some Christians are taking back their religion. Good!
Christian Group Calls for Removal of Tennessee House Leader businessinsider.com/christian-

@AlliFlowers For me, and so many others, the only way to even THINK there are any remaining decent Christians is for this to happen more. For now my motto is "There is no greater Hate than christian love"

@AlliFlowers @cautionarytale
Sadly the key word here is “some.” I would love a major movement of Christians to actually promote the message of “The Sermon on the Mount,” but a national progressive group getting other progressive people to express disapproval of hard right wingers is, well, preaching to the choir.

I am atheist, and I marvel at how often I’m clearly more Christian than so many Christians.

@lloydian @cautionarytale@mastodon.world I frequently say the same thing.

@lloydian @AlliFlowers @cautionarytale Atheist here as well. And have more values and ethics than any "Christians" I've ever seen.

@otownKim @AlliFlowers @cautionarytale
I know it often feels like that, and everyone has their own experience, but as the OP demonstrates, there are some who try to meet that goal. It gives me some hope.

@lloydian @otownKim @cautionarytale@mastodon.world I just want to see more of that, more often.

@AlliFlowers athiest now, but I was once christian, and this brings joy to my heart. The GOP turned a religion about love into one built on hatred, and they deserve to have that torn away from them.

@AlliFlowers Moral Mondays have come to Tennessee!!! There ARE good Christians out there, but they don’t get the attention of Pharisees currently wearing the label.
