The #FCC is considering the addition of #cybersecurity services to #ERate, the program that provides discounted/free #broadband connectivity and infrastructure to educational institutions. Specifically, the proposal would add "advanced or next-generation firewalls and services, as well as other network security services,” to its eligible services list. This is a critical enhancement to the program and I encourage anyone who agrees to send a message of support during the public comment period, due by Feb. 13. More info here:
