I just got a text from Moo Deng who is trying to raise $100,000 for Senator Jon Tester by midnight can we help this lovable creature out ? file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/ac/12/D8662FC0-59D0-4B51-9DB1-59225B664B71/moodeng.webp jontester.com/

@ellenmorrisprewitt
… And the one that Robert gives you
Don't do anything at all

@jeffowski I believe myself to be more decent and caring than the average Christian. The cross, therefore, is quite useful to me as a warder. Just as if I were some sort the werepire, it wards me off from having a close relationship with someone who is not compatible with me. I can be friends with a Christian, but it can go no further.

Birdwatch: A Colorful Encounter

There are three house finches (Haemorhous mexicanus) in this photograph. It caught my eye because I like the way the sky peeks through the forest canopy behind the birds.

As I've mentioned, I have a gallery of my favorite photos at:

Go there and take a look. Prints are for sale along with other doodads and I suppose it is kind of a business for me. But it's the kind of business where I don't care whether I sale anything or not. If you want something, by all means you are welcome to make a purchase. But I just want you to visit and maybe mark your favorites or leave a comment. Cheers 😄

@jeffowski Technically, the “Seven Deadly Sins” is a Catholic invention that does not actually appear in the bible. On the other hand, there is the Song of Solomon that pretty graphically celebrates recreational copulation.

@ernie @tedium If it results in the mothballing of x86 architecture, I would approve.

@QasimRashid The RW is like a cornered animal, fighting to not be eaten alive. They will do as much damage as they possibly can, even though they know they are not going to make it.

If both my wife and I were archaeologists who used Carbon 14 decay measures to determine the era in which ancient individuals lived, you bet your ass I’d loudly say “WE DATE OTHER PEOPLE” at parties.

@RamenCatholic I just read both recently. They are both like paintings, comprised mostly of scenery which Mockingbird reluctantly pulls down into a storyline, but Watchman seems happy to just wander the neighborhood looking for daisies and interesting pebbles.

Branch-bound Hunter

Here is a red-shouldered hawk (Buteo lineatus)

"Whether wheeling over a swamp forest or whistling plaintively from a riverine park, a Red-shouldered Hawk is typically a sign of tall woods and water. It’s one of our most distinctively marked common hawks, with barred reddish-peachy underparts and a strongly banded tail. In flight, translucent crescents near the wingtips help to identify the species at a distance. These forest hawks hunt prey ranging from mice to frogs and snakes." - allaboutbirds.org

@GottaLaff
Mark Robinson isn't "MLK times 2", he's Herschel Walker times 2.

@shansterable @Bellison22 Your math seems flawed. The margin of error (34% vs 83%) would be more like 144%.

Good morning. 🕊️🦅☁️

19 September 2024

Good lord, Ben got me up again at 0430 this morning. This is what? the third morning in a row. Unfortunately, I think this is the current trend. He comes to the bedroom door and just starts barking. He likes to sleep under our bed at night, but I recently started making him sleep in his bed in the family room because he was disturbing my wife's sleep during the night. She isn't gifted with bad hearing like me. Hmmm ... for every action there is a reaction.

We are having a pergola build in our back yard, construction starts this morning some time. Last night, I was thinking about the pigeons and whether or not they will defile the pergola. Wait and see.

I'm Just a Lonely Bird

Don't ask me why, but for some reason I like this image. It is mostly a silhouette with a northern cardinal center stage offering a hint of color in a pine tree.

I don't post all of the photos that I post here to my Pixels gallery, but I post the photos I like best. Some don't make the cut.

@w7voa I am confused. He says that as though it would be a *bad* thing.
