@georgetakei Is this some sort of, uh, straw man argument?

@malcircuit fediverse welcomes you with open arms and a freshly opened bottle of distraction heavily laced with procrastination.

@GayDeceiver I do NOT want to look at CouchBoy’s lower back. Do not make me look. I do not swing that way.

@newsopinionsandviews It appears that he himself is at least somewhat aware of the hurricane of comments being made about how FU he is (or acts, at least) and is bothered by it. He wants people to stop saying that he is FU, because, in his mind, he is not. But a psychopath is a person who thinks it is the world that is FU, not themself, so it is kind of a natural response. Why is the world not doing what I think it should?

@IHasWisdom Well, of course. He did a bunch of movies, like “Defending Your Life” and “The Muse”. His brother, “Super” Dave Einstein died not too long ago.

@RickiTarr Wholly Crap. I just saw this post that looked like it fit this thread:

We are pleased to announce that Nolej is now a Moodle Certified Integration! Nolej uses cognitive psychology and generative AI to transform teaching content into engaging, interactive H5P activities. 🙌

@usluck It is really not, though. Not anymore than the significant changes that FDR pushed through (other than the fact that the New Deal made most people’s lives better, not worse like Project 2025 would).

@argv_minus_one @newsopinionsandviews Yes, if she thought she was wrestling an alligator. More like a javelina, he is.

@timberwraith Sadly for us wusians, those things keep leaking across the mountains toward us, and we have not figured out how to make that shit stop.

If you post a video, it absolutely must include a moment of great pain or nobody will watch it. Death, maybe not so much, but pain is always amusing.

it’s cool to watch some of these 70s godzillas again and realize that adhd is not the reason i had no idea what was happening in these movies when i watched them as a kid

@GayDeceiver You know, that reminds me of a book I read. In Fire in the Abyss, Queen Nefertari gets transported via the Philadelphia Experiment to today-ish (1980s), visits New Orleans, gazes at the skyscrapers and says, “My but aren’t these modern men in love with their phalluses.”

Smile on the Void, by the same author, was more complex but also more challenging.
