We all live on the same planet, so YOUR private jet is MY business.

@StillIRise1963
Your private jet has much more impact on me than what bathroom you use, whether you have/abort your baby and what books are in the school library.

Maybe let's focus on what really matters and mind our own business in the rest.

@TCatInReality A quick search tells me that a private jet puts about 20 times as much carbon into the air per mile as the average car. Overall, private jets account for a tiny fraction of all carbon emissions. All aviation is about 2 1/2 percent, and private jets are les than 1% of that.
Not advocating for them, but if we are going to "focus on what really matters", maybe private jets aren't it.

@farbel @TCatInReality @StillIRise1963 Just Elon Musk's jets consumed 538,957 gallons of fuel in 2023, an equivalent to over 11 million miles in a 20 mpg car and at much higher emissions per mile.
