The arguments for remaining on twitter to “fight” remind me of the gambling adage that the house always wins. “Fighting” there is like gambling and thinking you’ll eventually beat the house. But even if you win $10,000 at the slot machine it’s because it’s in the casino’s bigger interests to give you $10,000.

I can understand reluctance of institutions --including government agencies and nonprofits-- to just up and leave what had been a pretty reliable platform.

"Where else to go?" remains problematic at the moment.

What I don't get is if agencies are stepping up to their obligations: are they causing Musk to make changes in controls (and so in ) which are starting to put guardrails back around Twitter? Why are they so quiet about it?
