No doubt most of us missed this at the time but isn’t this interesting. Two days prior to Jan6, troops were being mobilized and the Insurrection Act was already being openly discussed.

Morning Good people! A new day to be thankful for. Let's appreciate the friends & family that are in your corner, in a world as cold as this one, no one is obliged to be good to you, be thankful for the ones that are. Happy Friday!

Legs still sore from Wednesday’s 43km trail ride. I’m strangely proud that they gave out before my heart stopped. I’ve reached a new rung of confidence in my ability to not die. I’ve been inwardly timid about pushing too hard, there was even a guy out on the trail who’d give me heck for pushing myself too hard. Haven’t seen him in a while.

We had significant flooding in my region last month. Folks are rebuilding… in the same places. 🤦‍♂️ I understand the many reasons, but government has a responsibility (IMO) to set regulations to prevent this repeated loss.

I'm so sick of everything being framed as a "cost". What about the *benefits* of doing a thing? Like, what are economic benefits of having extensive and healthy rainforests?

If some fucking economist is like, "we can't calculate that, it's literally incalculable," I'm going to fucking strangle him. Just because something doesn't fit nicely into your spreadsheets, it doesn't mean it lacks value.

Trump is in big trouble

So the news is focusing on Hunter Biden “scandals”

Good.

Because we need to remember that this, too, is another Trump scandal

Trump blackmailed Zelenskyy and Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden

There was an impeachment over it

Trump personnel like Manafort were exposed over it

Lt Col Alexander Vindman went through hell over it

Time to tell the Hunter Biden story the way it was meant to be told

Another Trump crime

Why it's so important to figure out when vital Atlantic Ocean current might collapse
npr.org/2023/07/27/1190519762/

Deep in the Atlantic Ocean there's a massive current the size of 8,000 Mississippi Rivers.
Its role in the Earth's climate is so powerful that it determines weather f. the equator to Europe, crop production in Africa & sea level rise on the East Coast.

Scientists say there's a risk this vital current could shut down as the climate gets hotter, with dire consequences worldwide
