I have found the older I get the fewer fucks I give about the little things, because they just don't fucking matter to me anymore.
Operating systems? I have opinions, but as for what others use, I don't give a fuck, use what works for you.
Linux distros? I also have opinions, but same thing, I don't give a fuck what you use.
Programming languages? I have opinions, but use what works for you. Just try not to kill anyone doing it.
Places to live? I actually don't care where people live, just don't be a fucking dick.
There are just certain things that don't make a bit of fucking difference or tell you much about what kind of person someone is.
What matters more than aesthetic considerations, including preferences, is how well you can get on with the person and what kind of person they are.

I think I'm being target of a phishing attack to my cellphone sent through "Flash SMS".
I frequently receive a message that's automatically displayed in my screen about having won a TV, with yes/no buttons underneath. No matter what I do, a web page automatically opens. The URL points to qrl[.]adc[.]bz/[...]. To mitigate this, I put my phone in airplane mode as quick as possible.
Does anyone here have information about these attacks?

I think Gen X gets away with more extended youth than Boomers.
In the early ‘80s, LA’s ‘oldies’ station K-EARTH 101 played music that was generally only 15 or 20 years old. Some of the ‘classic rock’ on KLOS might’ve only been five years old.
Anyway, I think labels for our music are a lot more gentle. Like, we just call it New Wave or the ‘80s instead of using a term that indicates a song is at least 34 years old.
@Holberg The 4 decades 50-80s was a Golden Age of exciting, creativity in music. It appears to be lost and I feel privileged to have lived though it. 😓 Sometime in the 1990s, a Beatles Anthology was release to become a best selling album among teens and young adults for a reason.
@DannyStaley Hard to advise you, trade offs. I’ve visited Montana a lot as part of my job and love it, a good place to weather the coming environmental apocalypse if such a place exists. I’m stuck in a hot place because I made a compromise in support of my marriage, but I don’t hold that against my better half. After all, it’s the Earth Simulator and hopefully there are better things to come. 🙃😉

But I have news for all the men who cherish the idea that straight men own beer:
You may be shocked to hear this, but women drink beer.
So do gay men. So do lesbian women.
So do trans and bisexual and intersex and queer folks.
You may think you own beer. You do not.
Lots of straight folk who care about LGBTQ folks drink beer.
Astute corporations today realize that their market is diverse and they market explicitly to diverse communities for that reason.
@ProjectFearlessness Or better yet just denying that we have anything to do with it, that it’s happened in the past, so “I don’t have to pay anything to fix or prevent it” as much of the world turns into a hot skillet and most of us are the sunny side up eggs sizzling in it.
