@LaNaehForaday Step Right Up, Step Right Up!!, do I have a deal for you! And you’ll be wiser afterwards too!

@Andrewhinton Now that sounds like some tricky shit trying to get into your PayPal. 🔥 Glad you resisted.

Just got an unsettling fraud encounter — PayPal texted me with a password recovery code that I didn’t ask for, and then I got a robocall from an 888 number asking me to enter the code “to block the attempt” … took me a couple seconds to realize I should not enter that code… wild stuff.

@dougiec3 That’s (17 shots) what you call human or insane? You might ask are humans responsible enough to carry lethal power? Some are, some aren’t, but it’s irresponsible to allow the wrong people to be armed and clearly being an adult citizen is not nearly enough of a qualifier to grant the possession of lethal power with a trigger squeeze. A remake of the 2A is long overdue.🤔 🇺🇸

New Mexico in Top 10! Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions: New Mexico had 479 gun deaths in 2020. Of those, 63% were suicides, 31% homicides and 6% other.
In a recent road rage incident, someone in a pickup truck fired 17 shots at the car of a family leaving a minor league baseball game. They killed an 11 year old and seriously wounded his 23 year old aunt. Gun right advocates will tell you that if that family had been armed it could have defended itself from that hail of bullets.

Since the word ‘socialism’ is apparently so terrifying, let me be clear: Every advanced country on planet earth pools resources for the common good.

This is how a society functions.

More figures on how parental income influenced where #students go to #college. Top income kids go to top colleges—no surprise, thanks to #legacy #admissions. Public #schools seem to be more fair. My college looks a bit better in this study—since it didn’t look so good in the economic diversity study over the weekend. #highereducation nytimes.com/interactive/2023/0

@Huntn00 LOVED my Xr. I kept it for about four years but it was starting to develop some bugs, and the release of the yellow 14 in the spring cinched it for me.

@lauren I’m happy I took typing in high school circa 1970. It has served me well over the decades.

@maxleibman I have an XR a 2016 MBP and an ancient iPad. I may update my iPad around Black Friday or Cyber Monday. 🤔

I happened to be writing an assessment of the evidentiary bases for the Nixon, Clinton and Trump impeachment inquiries when McCarthy made his announcement.

Suffice it to say, this inquiry compares unfavorably.

@SecularJeffrey I wonder how many rentals they score at $25? I’m looking for a $6 home rental. 🙂

@jeffjarvis News Organizations are always in the business of”selling” news as to what they think is most $marketable$. But some have better judgement, integrity than others and there is always which alfalfa the sheep prefer to consume. 🤔

@arstechnica That X, I take it this was created as Musk’s inspiration without any public relations or marketing input. Probably what he considers it another stroke of his unbalanced “genius”… Why am I reminded of a modern age of tech swastica? 🥸

@realTuckFrumper No joking matter but I can see both Religion and the Environmental realists with all the extreme weather shit going on, calling this the End Times, but for starkly different reasons. One based on religious fantasy and the other based on the stark reality, ironic that both end up in the same place? 🤔
