“Walt Disney Co. has canceled its plan to open a new Florida campus that would’ve relocated some 2,000 employees to the state, a change that comes as the company is engaged in a long brawl with the state’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis,” the Los Angeles Times reports.
The New York Times reports Disney is also “pulling the plug on a nearly $1 billion office complex that was scheduled for construction in Orlando.”

@msmp @TonyStark The problem is a slug of Americans who think that insurrection is patriotic when they think it gives them an advantage, that overturning a valid election just because “we lost” is the right thing to do, and that burying the uncomfortable part our history of racial intolerance and division feels really good to the people who still want discrimination and orchestrating slanted playing fields in their favor as part of white privilege agenda.

@TonyStark if you’re a thinking feeling human you never, and I mean NEVER, want to be on the same side as people who categorize anyone different from them as ‘the other’ and want to punish them for being so. We should all call that what it is. That’s pure fascism. You just have to read history to understand this, but therein lies part of the problem with many Americans.

The Right Wing in the US plays a game: Did We Fool Ya? as they redefine terms to make their actions and motivations seem reasonable, hoping that self-serving STUPID back home will gulp the Koolaid. So in some corners the Jan6 insurrectionists are patriots. Making it harder for certain demographics to vote is supporting democracy and MAGA baby! Banning parts of our history is just a feel good move. And destroying the environment is just good business. Are you Fool’d yet?

GotG 3- decent flick, but dark and weakest of the trilogy imo. They really needed to make up their minds if they were filming a heavy drama or an adventure with comedic elements like before. .The humor felt out of place.
