Tension's ran high in the Circle K this afternoon as one person in the long line heard someone behind them make loud racist and misogynistic remarks about Kamala Harris. He turned around to see the bigot wearing a Trump 2024 cap and didn't say a word. but the bigot was defiant, proud.
The words "faggot" and "lowlife Nazi" were hurled like weapons between them, and there was silence from the dozen other people present. The non-Nazi paid for his coffee, walked out the door and got in his car. When the shaking stopped after many minutes, he opened his social media app and wrote about the incident.
@TheEddieShow The MAGAts want to take the country back. Backwards. Like, two centuries. I say we take the country back about 80 years – when Americans were being encouraged to, um, defeat NAZIs.
(“Defeat” was not the verb I wanted to use, but one must be circumspect.)
