It's that time of year when baby bird drop boxes appear around #Kauai. Yes, I said baby bird drop boxes. It's hatching season for endangered shearwaters & the chicks are kinda dumb & fall out of nests a lot. They use the moon to navigate and get disoriented by unnatural night lights, so the whole island VERY grudgingly moved high school football from Friday nights to Saturday afternoons.
Anyway if you find a dazed baby shearwater, put it in da box.
Am I am bad person for wanting to find a dazed and disoriented baby bird so I can put it in the box?

@meltedcheese @brianvastag I encountered a very young bird running around on the walkway outside some stores, but there was really nothing I could do for it. Probably ended up as catfood or the like. Nature is what she is.
