@ai6yr I’ve well aged out of the 52T/42T chainring configuration. Now, my “road bike”has 46T/30T. My knees thank me.
@voiceofunreason Yeah... I am basically at "Granny Gear" going up hills here and needing to drop to nonexistent gears. I'm just able to manage on the lowest gear on this bike, but it's clearly in the "struggle" zone, LOL. (not the stop zone, but the "oh crap this is brutal" zone)
@ai6yr @voiceofunreason I have a Rohloff 14 on my ‘bent that goes from 104” at the top (equivalent to about a 54/14) down to something like 20” at the bottom. I never actually used the bottom, but I started on a 6% in I think 3rd or 4th and it was so smooth – easier than starting on the flat.
